FAST is a club, which like many others, relies on the support of a voluntary team to ensure it's long term future

 

The information here should give you more insight as to what our volunteers do and why they do it.

 

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for FAST, whether it be a poolside helper, coach or member of the committee, please use the contact page to request further information.

NAME TITLE DESCRIPTION
Huw Thomas Chairman

Huw joined the FAST committee in 2006 and became Chairman in 2007. Huw will stand down in September 2010.

Callum Lyle Treasurer

Callum took over from our previous treasurer in 2009. Callum looks after our finances, pool fees, membership fees various invoices and SASA membership.

Christina McRoberts Secretary

Christina joined the committee at the end of 2008. Christina takes and circulates the minutes from our committee meetings and deals with all correspondence received from SASA and other bodies.

Tracey McRae Club Shop

Tracey joined the committee in 2007 and looks after the club shop. Please contact Tracey if you need to order anything from the shop.

Louise Norman Coach Louise coaches our swimmers and has been with the club since it's first session. Louise comes from a club swimming background and has completed level 1 UKCC Teaching Aquatics.
Ross Denver

Coach

Ross coaches our swimmers and joined the club in early 2009 as a poolside helper. Ross has gone on to complete both levels 1 and 2 UKCC Teaching Aquatics. Ross also looks after the club website.

Rosemary Peebles Coach Rosemary coaches our swimmers and joined the club in 2009 as a poolside helper. Rosemary has gone on to complete both levels 1 and 2 UKCC Teaching Aquatics.
Paul Newlands Child Protection Officer

Paul joined the committee in 2010. The child protection officer administers the child protection scheme and disclosure of our volunteer staff in accordance with SASA procedures.

Debbie Melville SwiMark’ contact

Debbie joined the committee in 2010 to act as the ‘SwiMark’ contact which is a SASA accreditation scheme for all swimming clubs. We hope to achieve full accreditation within the next year.
